Built to Resist What Your Floor Faces Every Day

Concrete floors take a beating. The Garage FX® system is engineered to hold up against peeling, chipping, abrasions, chemicals, and UV rays, keeping the surface looking sharp long after the coating is applied. It’s a stronger finish than the concrete beneath it.

Customization is built into the system as well. With more than 140 styles and color options, you can dial in a look that fits your space, whether that’s a polished showroom finish or a low-profile residential floor. Most floor coating applications wrap up in a single day, so your garage or commercial space isn’t out of commission for long.

Why Highland’s Climate Is Hard on Uncoated Concrete

Highland sits in Madison County, within the Metro East region of the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area. Humid summers and icy winters put measurable stress on bare concrete. Freeze-thaw cycles crack and lift the surface, while heat and humidity speed up wear from vehicle traffic and chemical spills like road salt and motor oil.

Hot tire pickup is another common problem. When a warm tire bonds briefly to an untreated surface, it can pull the top layer away over time. The Garage FX® system’s resistance properties address these exposure points, making it a practical choice for garages throughout the Highland area.

Storage Solutions to Complete the Space

A new floor changes how a garage looks. A complete organization solution changes how it works. GarageExperts of Southern Illinois also offers adjustable cabinets and slatwall systems that let Highland customers reclaim wall and floor space. Cabinets are built from wood sourced from replenishable North American forests, and like our flooring, storage solutions come with a limited lifetime warranty.

Epoxy vs. Polyaspartic Floor Coatings: What’s the Difference?

Both coating types bond to concrete and resist chemicals, moisture, and daily wear once fully cured. The differences come down to composition, cure speed, and long-term color stability.

Epoxy coatings are made from synthetic resins combined with a hardener, creating a continuous, dense surface that holds up well under heavy use. Polyaspartic coatings cure faster and hold color and gloss under UV exposure without yellowing, which matters in spaces with sun exposure or bright overhead lighting.

For most Highland garages, the right choice depends on how the space is used, how quickly the floor needs to be back in service, and whether UV stability is a priority. Our team can walk through these factors during the free on-site estimate so you can make a confident decision before any work begins.

From Free Estimate to Finished Floor: What to Expect

The process starts with a free on-site estimate. We visit your location in the Highland area, assess the concrete surface, and talk through your goals for the space. From that visit, you receive a personalized space assessment and a custom proposal before any commitment is made.

Once you approve the proposal, we schedule the floor coating application. Most projects wrap up in one day. After the work is done, the limited lifetime warranty covers your floor going forward, and we’re available if questions come up down the road.
