Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 09/03/2026

Last Updated: 09/03/2026

Garage Experts International LLC ("GarageExperts," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you provide when visiting www.garageexperts.com (the "Website").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit our Website, request information, communicate with us, apply for employment, inquire about franchise opportunities, or otherwise interact with GarageExperts.

By using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.

Who is responsible for your information.

Garage Experts International LLC is responsible for the information collected through this Website. GarageExperts products and services are sold and installed by independently owned and operated franchised businesses (each, a "Franchisee"). When your information is routed to a Franchisee, that Franchisee becomes independently responsible for the information it collects and maintains about you in the course of its own business, including its own estimates, contracts, project records, and communications. This Privacy Policy describes the practices of Garage Experts International LLC. It does not govern the independent practices of any Franchisee. We require Franchisees to comply with applicable privacy and data security laws and with the GarageExperts brand standards that govern customer communications and the handling of customer information.

Notice at collection.

The categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use each category, whether each category is sold or shared, and how long we keep each category are described in Sections 1, 2, 4, and 8 of this Policy. A link to this Policy appears adjacent to every form on the Website through which we collect personal information. Where we collect personal information from you by telephone, we provide this notice orally or direct you to it at the outset of the call.

1. Information we collect

Depending upon how you interact with our Website, we may collect the following categories of information.

  • The content of text messages and emails you exchange with us.
  • Audio recordings and transcripts of telephone calls, where the call is recorded as described in Section 13.
  • Electronic signature information, including the signature itself and associated timestamp and IP address, where you sign a document electronically.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not intentionally collect, and we ask that you not submit through the Website, any of the following: Social Security numbers; driver's license or state identification numbers; passport numbers; financial account numbers together with any access code or password; precise geolocation data; biometric or genetic data; consumer health data; information revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, union membership, sexual orientation, or immigration status; or the contents of mail, email, or text messages in which we are not a participant.

If you submit any of the foregoing to us anyway, we will delete it unless we are required to retain it by law.

2. How we use your information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to requests for estimates or information;
  • Schedule appointments;

  • Improve our Website;
  • Improve customer service;
  • Personalize your Website experience;
  • Provide requested information;
  • Send promotional communications where permitted by law;
  • Send appointment reminders;
  • Respond to customer service requests;
  • Conduct internal business analysis;
  • Improve marketing efforts;
  • Comply with legal obligations;
  • Protect our legal rights.
  • Serve, target, and measure advertising, including advertising delivered through Google and Meta platforms;
  • Measure the effectiveness of our marketing and calculate the cost of acquiring a customer;
  • Create and maintain records of your consent to be contacted;
  • Process payments through our payment processor;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other unlawful activity;
  • Train and evaluate our team and Franchisees, including through review of recorded calls;
  • Establish, exercise, and defend legal claims.

3. Text messaging and telephone contact

Our text messaging program has two separate categories of messages, and your consent to each is separate. Service and transactional messages are sent if you provide your mobile number in connection with a request for an estimate, an appointment, a service call, a warranty matter, an employment application, or a franchise inquiry. Marketing and promotional messages are sent only if you separately and affirmatively opt in to receive them through a separate, non-pre-selected opt-in that is not combined with your acceptance of our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy, and is not combined with any request for products, services, pricing, or an appointment. Messages in either category may be sent by Garage Experts International LLC and by the independently owned and operated GarageExperts Franchisee serving your geographic area, each of which sends from its own telephone number, under its own messaging account, and is separately responsible for its own messaging practices and for honoring opt-out requests it receives. Messages may relate to:

  • Appointment confirmations
  • Appointment reminders
  • Estimate requests
  • Project updates
  • Customer service
  • Employment communications
  • Franchise opportunities
  • Marketing promotions
  • Product announcements
  • Other business communications related to your relationship with GarageExperts.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any products or services.

Your consent to receive marketing text messages is not required to obtain an estimate, schedule an appointment, or purchase any product or service, and we will not condition the availability, price, scheduling, or terms of any product or service on that consent.

Message frequency varies depending on your interactions with us. Marketing text messages will not exceed eight (8) messages per month unless you request otherwise. We send marketing text messages only between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the recipient’s local time zone, and not before 12:00 noon on Sunday. We send service and transactional messages, such as appointment confirmations and reminders, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the recipient’s local time zone, and outside those hours only where a message concerns an urgent operational matter affecting an appointment scheduled for that day. We observe any additional restrictions on the days and times of delivery imposed by applicable law, including any restriction narrower than the hours stated above.

Message and data rates may apply.

You may revoke consent at any time, by any reasonable means. We honor each of the following replies to any text message from us, and this list is not exclusive: STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPT OUT. You may also opt out by replying with any other word or phrase that reasonably conveys that intent, by calling the number that sent the message, by emailing contact@garageexperts.com, or by telling any GarageExperts or Franchisee representative. Opt-out requests are processed as promptly as practicable and in no event later than ten (10) business days after receipt. You may receive a single confirmation message containing no marketing content.

Reply HELP for assistance.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile telephone number, your text messaging consent, or your text message opt-in information with any third party or affiliate for that party’s own marketing purposes, and we do not disclose that information to advertising networks, data brokers, or lead aggregators. This restriction applies notwithstanding any other provision of this Privacy Policy describing the sharing or sale of personal information with advertising or analytics partners. Your mobile number and messaging consent are used only to contact you and are shared only with the messaging service provider that transmits messages on our behalf and with the Franchisee serving your area.

4. How we share, sell, and disclose information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not disclose your personal information to data brokers or lead aggregators, and we do not disclose it to any third party for that party’s own independent marketing purposes.

Important qualification regarding advertising.

We use advertising and analytics technologies from Google and Meta on our Website, as described in Section 5. When those technologies operate, certain information such as online identifiers, device information, and records of the pages you viewed or the actions you took may be transmitted to those companies. Under the privacy laws of California, Texas, and a number of other states, that transmission may constitute a "sale" of personal information, a "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or "targeted advertising," even though we receive no money for it. We therefore treat it as such, we disclose it here, and we give you the right to opt out of it as described in Section 10. We do not receive monetary consideration for any transmission of personal information.

The following categories of information are never transmitted to advertising or analytics partners: your mobile telephone number; your text messaging consent; payment card information; the contents of your telephone calls, text messages, or emails with us; and any information you submit through a page on which payment information is entered.

We may share your information under the following circumstances:

Independently Owned GarageExperts Franchise Locations

If you request products or services through our Website, we may share your information with the independently owned and operated GarageExperts franchise responsible for serving your geographic area so they may:

  • Contact you;
  • Schedule appointments;
  • Prepare estimates;
  • Provide requested services;
  • Respond to customer service inquiries.

Service Providers

We may share information with companies that perform services on our behalf, including providers of:

  • Website hosting;
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) services;
  • Marketing services;
  • Email communications;
  • Text messaging services;
  • Analytics;
  • Payment processing;
  • Technology support.
  • Consent management and privacy request processing;
  • Electronic signature services;
  • Call recording, transcription, and quality assurance;
  • Advertising delivery and measurement.

These service providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to perform services for us.

Our contracts with service providers prohibit them from using your information for their own purposes, from selling or sharing it, from retaining it longer than necessary, and from using it to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models. We require them to delete or return your information at the end of the engagement.

Advertising and Analytics Partners

We use the following advertising and analytics technologies, each of which receives information as described above:

  • Google LLC — Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion tracking, and Google remarketing tags. Google’s privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy. You may opt out of Google Analytics through the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and adjust advertising settings at myadcenter.google.com.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API. Meta’s privacy practices are described at facebook.com/privacy/policy. You may adjust your advertising preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences/ad_settings.

Where these platforms make restricted or limited data processing configurations available, we enable them, and we do not transmit any special category or sensitive information to either platform.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law;
  • Respond to lawful requests by governmental authorities;
  • Protect our legal rights;
  • Prevent fraud;
  • Protect public safety;
  • Enforce our agreements.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, corporate restructuring, financing transaction, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Cookies, pixels, and tracking technologies

Our Website uses cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, and similar technologies. We group them into the four categories below and you can control them through the cookie preference center accessible from the footer of every page.

Strictly necessary.

Required for the Website to function, including security, load balancing, form submission, and recording your cookie preferences. These cannot be disabled.

Functional.

Remember your preferences and choices so that you do not have to re-enter them.

Analytics and performance.

Help us understand how visitors find and use the Website so that we can improve it. Includes Google Analytics 4.

Advertising and targeting.

Used to deliver advertising that is relevant to you, to measure the performance of our advertising, and to avoid showing you the same advertisement repeatedly. Includes the Meta Pixel and Google advertising tags. Information collected through this category may constitute a sale or sharing of personal information, or targeted advertising, under state law. See Sections 4 and 10.

How we obtain your consent.

When you first visit the Website, a banner asks you to accept or decline non-essential cookies and tracking technologies. Analytics and advertising technologies do not load or transmit any information until you affirmatively consent to the relevant category. If you decline a category, technologies in that category will not operate. You may change your choices at any time through the cookie preference center.

Opt-out preference signals and Global Privacy Control.

We detect and honor opt-out preference signals transmitted by your browser or an extension, including the Global Privacy Control signal. When we receive such a signal we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser, and we apply it without requiring you to take any further action. Because these signals are browser- and device-specific, you will need to send the signal from each browser and device you use.

Two different controls, two different purposes.

The consent choice described above governs whether tracking technologies operate on this Website at all, and we apply it before any analytics or advertising technology loads. Separately, and independently of that choice, the law of many states gives you a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, which you may exercise at any time as described in Section 10. Declining a cookie category and exercising the statutory opt-out are different mechanisms serving different purposes, and you may use either or both.

Do Not Track.

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for interpreting that signal, and we do not respond to it. We do respond to the Global Privacy Control signal, described above.

Pages excluded from tracking.

We do not permit advertising, analytics, or session-recording technologies to operate on any page through which payment information, financing application information, or an employment application is submitted.

Cookies may be used to:

  • Remember preferences;
  • Improve Website performance;
  • Measure Website traffic;
  • Analyze visitor behavior;
  • Support marketing efforts.

We may use third-party analytics providers, including Google Analytics or similar services, to better understand Website usage.

Most browsers allow you to disable cookies through browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain Website functionality.

6. Third-party websites

Our Website may contain links to third-party websites.

Garage Experts International LLC is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of third-party websites.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.

7. Data security

Garage Experts International LLC maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

However, no method of electronic transmission or electronic storage is completely secure.

Accordingly, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We describe our security practices accurately and we do not claim that our systems are impenetrable. Our safeguards include encryption of personal information in transit, access controls that limit access to personnel with a business need, and periodic review of our security practices and those of our service providers. We do not catalog our specific technical controls in this Policy, because publishing them would itself create risk.

If we determine that a security incident has compromised your personal information, we will notify you and the applicable regulators as and when required by law.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide requested services;
  • Respond to inquiries;
  • Maintain business records;
  • Comply with legal obligations;
  • Resolve disputes;
  • Enforce our agreements.

Retention periods vary by category. Our current retention periods and the criteria we use to set them are as follows:

  • Inquiry and lead information (name, contact details, project information): three (3) years from the date of your last interaction with us, so that we can respond to follow-up inquiries and honor warranty and service requests.
  • Customer and project records (including estimates, contracts, change orders, and completion records): seven (7) years after project completion, or the duration of any applicable warranty plus two (2) years, whichever is longer, to administer warranties and to satisfy tax, accounting, and limitations-period requirements.
  • Consent records for text messaging, email marketing, and call recording: five (5) years after consent is given or revoked, whichever is later, to evidence compliance with telemarketing and privacy laws.
  • Suppression and do-not-contact records: retained indefinitely, because deleting them would cause us to contact you again.
  • Payment tokens and transaction records: seven (7) years, for tax, accounting, and chargeback purposes. We do not retain full card numbers or card verification codes at any time.
  • Telephone call recordings and transcripts: twelve (12) months from the date of the call, for quality assurance and dispute resolution.
  • Employment application information: three (3) years from the date of application, to satisfy recordkeeping obligations.
  • Franchise inquiry information: seven (7) years, to satisfy franchise disclosure recordkeeping obligations.
  • Website analytics and advertising identifiers: twenty-six (26) months, or the shorter period configured in the relevant platform.
  • Privacy request records (requests, verifications, decisions, and appeals): twenty-four (24) months, as required by applicable privacy law.

We may retain information beyond the periods stated above where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, to respond to a regulatory inquiry, subpoena, or other lawful request, or to preserve evidence relating to an actual or reasonably anticipated claim. Where a period stated above conflicts with a retention requirement imposed by law, the legal requirement controls.

9. Children’s and teens’ privacy

The Website is not directed toward children under the age of eighteen (18).

Garage Experts International LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen.

If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child under eighteen without appropriate parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

The Website is intended for individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen through the Website.

Under California law, the personal information of a consumer under sixteen (16) years of age is treated as sensitive personal information. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of any consumer under sixteen, and we do not knowingly engage in targeted advertising directed to any consumer under eighteen. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will delete it and suppress the associated contact details.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information to us, contact us at contact@garageexperts.com and we will delete it promptly.

10. Your choices and privacy controls

You may choose to:

  • Decline to provide personal information;
  • Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link;
  • Opt out of text messages by replying STOP;
  • Update or correct information by contacting us;
  • Request information regarding personal information we maintain about you where required by applicable law.

Please note that certain information may be necessary for us to respond to your requests or provide services.

Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.

You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising in any of the following ways, and you do not need to create an account or verify your identity to do so:

  • use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of every page of the Website;
  • open the cookie preference center from the footer of every page and decline the advertising and targeting category;
  • transmit a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser or a browser extension, which we detect and honor automatically; or
  • email contact@garageexperts.com or call 888-393-3527.

We will confirm to you that your opt-out request has been processed. Because opt-out preference signals are specific to the browser and device that sends them, you will need to repeat the request on each browser and device you use.

Authorized agents.

You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will ask the agent for written authorization signed by you, and we may contact you to confirm the authorization, except that we will not require you to resubmit the request in your individual capacity where the law prohibits us from doing so.

No discrimination.

We will not deny you products or services, charge you a different price, provide you a different level of quality, or suggest that we will do any of those things because you exercised a privacy right. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.

11. State privacy rights and how to exercise them

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights under applicable state privacy law. We honor these rights for residents of every state that grants them, and where a right is available to residents of one state but not another we generally extend it to all residents as a matter of practice:

  • Request access to personal information;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of certain personal information;
  • Appeal certain privacy decisions where applicable.
  • Obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
  • Opt out of targeted advertising;
  • Opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects;
  • Limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information;
  • Know the categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, the categories we disclose, and the categories of recipients;
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Garage Experts International LLC will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

How to submit a request.

Submit a request by emailing contact@garageexperts.com, by calling 888-393-3527. Please tell us which right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate your records.

Verification.

For requests to access, correct, delete, or port information, we will ask you to verify your identity by confirming information we already hold, such as the name, email address, telephone number, or service address associated with your records. We do not require verification to process an opt-out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. We use information you provide for verification only to verify the request.

Our response times.

We acknowledge requests within ten (10) business days and respond substantively within forty-five (45) calendar days. Where reasonably necessary we may extend that period once by an additional forty-five (45) days, and we will tell you the reason before the original period expires. We do not charge a fee for processing a request unless the request is manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, as defined by applicable law, in which case we will tell you before we charge anything.

Appeals.

If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or by emailing contact@garageexperts.com with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal." We will respond in writing within sixty (60) days, explaining the reasons for our decision. If we deny the appeal, we will provide you with a method to submit a complaint to the attorney general or other supervisory authority in your state. Texas residents may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General through the online complaint form available at texasattorneygeneral.gov.

Sensitive personal information.

We do not collect sensitive personal information as that term is defined under applicable state law, other than payment-related information that we receive only in tokenized form. We do not sell sensitive personal information, we do not sell biometric personal data, we do not sell precise geolocation data, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose other than those permitted without an opt-out under applicable law.

California residents.

In the preceding twelve months we collected the categories of personal information described in Section 1, for the purposes described in Section 2, from the sources described in Section 1, and disclosed them to the categories of recipients described in Section 4. The only category we share for cross-context behavioral advertising is internet or other electronic network activity information together with online identifiers, as described in Sections 4 and 5. We have not sold personal information for monetary consideration. California residents also have the notice rights described in California Civil Code Section 1789.3, set out in our Terms of Service.

Nevada residents.

Nevada law permits residents to direct us not to sell certain covered information. We do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law, but you may submit a request to contact@garageexperts.com.

Washington and Nevada consumer health data.

We do not collect, use, sell, or share consumer health data as defined by the Washington My Health My Data Act or comparable Nevada law.

12. Payment card information and PCI compliance

Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor that validates its compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 4.0.1. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Card details are transmitted to the processor, which returns a token that we use to reference the transaction. We retain only that token together with the card brand, the last four digits, the expiration date, and the billing postal code.

We do not store card verification codes (CVV, CVC, or CID) at any time, in any form. Payment card data is transmitted using Transport Layer Security. Our payment processor validates its compliance with PCI DSS version 4.0.1 annually. No advertising, analytics, or session-recording technology operates on any page through which payment information is entered.

13. Telephone call recording and monitoring

Telephone calls between you and Garage Experts International LLC or a Franchisee may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping. Where required by law, you will be notified at the beginning of the call and given an opportunity to decline recording or to continue through another channel. If you do not consent to being recorded, tell the representative and the call will not be recorded. If you continue the call after receiving that notification, you consent to being recorded. Recordings are retained as described in Section 8, are accessible only to personnel with a business need, and are not transmitted to advertising or analytics partners or used to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

14. Automated decision-making and artificial intelligence

We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, including decisions about pricing, credit, or eligibility for service, using solely automated processing without human review.

Where you interact with an automated chat or voice assistant on our Website or by telephone, we disclose clearly and conspicuously, before or at the time the interaction begins, that you are interacting with an artificial intelligence system rather than a person, and you may ask to be transferred to a person at any time. We use automated tools to route inquiries, estimate project scope, and draft communications, in each case subject to human review before any decision affecting you is made.

15. Franchisee privacy practices

Each Franchisee is an independent business and an independent controller of the personal information it collects and maintains in the course of its own operations. Through the GarageExperts brand standards and the customer agreement provisions we mandate, we require Franchisees to comply with applicable privacy and data security laws, to obtain and document consent before sending marketing text messages, to honor opt-out requests they receive, and to forward privacy requests they receive to us for coordinated handling. If you have a question about the information a particular Franchisee holds about you, contact that Franchisee directly or contact us at contact@garageexperts.com and we will help you reach them.

16. Accessibility of this policy

If you need this Privacy Policy in an alternative format, or need assistance exercising a privacy right, contact us at contact@garageexperts.com and we will provide the information and assistance you need through an alternative method.

17. Changes to this privacy policy

Garage Experts International LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any revisions become effective when posted on this Website, except that we will give notice of material changes at least thirty (30) days before they take effect, by posting a prominent notice on the Website and, where we have your email address, by email. A change required by law, regulation, or a court or regulatory order may become effective immediately upon posting. We will keep prior versions of this Policy available on request.

Your continued use of the Website after revisions are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
