What Sets the Garage FX® Flooring System Apart

The Garage FX® flooring system is built for performance that outlasts the floor beneath it. The coating is stronger than the concrete it’s applied to and resists peeling, chipping, abrasions, chemicals, and UV rays, keeping floors clean and intact through years of vehicle traffic, spills, and seasonal wear.

Every installation is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. With over 140 epoxy floor colors and style options, Troy homeowners and business owners can match the finished look to the space rather than settling for a default gray.

American-made materials: Every Garage FX® product is manufactured in the United States
One-day installation: Most projects are completed in a single day
UV and chemical resistance: The coating holds up against de-icing salts, oils, and sunlight
Limited lifetime warranty: Backed for the life of your floor

Adjustable Cabinets & Slatwall Organization Solutions

A new floor transforms how a garage looks. Organization solutions transform how it works. Our adjustable cabinets and slatwall systems are constructed from wood sourced from replenishable North American forests, engineered for superior strength and ample storage capacity. Whether the goal is clearing floor space, storing tools, or creating a dedicated workshop area, both systems are fully customizable to the layout and use of the space.

Because we handle flooring and storage in one project, Troy homeowners don’t have to coordinate two separate contractors or wonder whether the finished storage can work with the floor surface underneath it.

Epoxy vs. Polyaspartic Floor Coatings: What’s the Difference?

Both epoxy and polyaspartic coatings are applied over concrete to improve durability, appearance, and resistance to daily wear. They work differently at the chemical level, and understanding that difference helps set realistic expectations for any concrete floor coating project.

Epoxy coatings are a resin-based material applied over concrete, delivering strong chemical resistance and a hard, durable surface. Standard epoxy takes longer to cure and can yellow over time under direct sunlight. Polyaspartic coatings are a fast-curing polymer known for UV stability and a quicker return-to-use timeline after application. Combining epoxy as a base layer with a polyaspartic topcoat is a common approach that balances the structural strength of epoxy with the UV resistance and faster cure time of polyaspartic.

What to Expect During Your Estimate & Installation

Every project begins with an on-site assessment of the existing concrete floor. The condition of the surface, including any cracks, staining, or moisture issues, determines which preparation steps are needed before any coating goes down.

Surface preparation, typically cleaning and profiling the concrete to create the right texture for adhesion, is completed before coating application begins. After the coatings are applied, the floor requires a cure period before returning to full use. The length of that window depends on the specific coating system and the conditions on installation day.

Signs Your Troy, IL Garage Floor May Need a Coating Upgrade

Illinois winters put concrete floors through a demanding cycle. Freeze-thaw conditions in Madison County can cause existing concrete to crack and the surface to deteriorate over time. Add de-icing salt and moisture tracked in by vehicles through winter months, and uncoated concrete accumulates stains, pitting, and surface dusting that compound each season.

Common signs it’s time to consider a floor coating include visible surface pitting or flaking, persistent oil or salt staining that won’t clean up, concrete dust settling on stored items, or cracks that have widened over multiple winters. A coating won’t repair structural damage, but it can reduce the ongoing wear that seasonal exposure causes on otherwise sound concrete.
